Facts

What is Paint the Town Gold?

Paint the Town Gold is a community engagement initiative designed to spread excitement and create positive experiences between Kutztown University, the Borough of Kutztown and Maxatawny Township. This project engages students, faculty, staff and administration with residents and community leaders in the greater Kutztown area to generate interest, support and enthusiasm for KU and the community.

When and Where Will It Occur?

The event will take place on Monday September 19th through Sunday, September 25th in preparation for and as part of the University’s Family Day festivities. Planning will include generating spirit, interest and attendance for the Golden Bear football game against Shippensburg University, as well as awareness and support for local businesses and establishments downtown. The excitement and activities will spread throughout campus and the community.

Who is Doing This?

The project is being initiated by the university, under the direction of KU’s Department of Community Relations and Development Services and the Athletic Department. However, in order to make this a true collaborative effort, leadership and assistance from the Kutztown community is being provided through representation from the Borough of Kutztown, Maxatawny Township and Kutztown University.
